For quite some time, Fran Hartnett has been steadily working the outer realms of techno, experimental electronic music, and various forms of the visual arts. Regarded as a significant contributor to Ireland’s techno scene, Fran secured his first residency at the infamous Kitchen as a teenager back in 1997.
After completing a Master’s degree in Music and Media Technologies at Trinity College Dublin, Fran began to release his own music, and his debut vinyl release ‘Alpha’ (Mantrap, 2009) soon found it’s way into the hands of some of the most respected DJs in techno. One of these DJs was Birmingham techno heavyweight Surgeon, who went on to include Fran’s ‘It Was Written in Vapour’ (Audio Assault, 2011) on his ‘Fabric 53’ mix CD.
Since then Fran has released music on a number of European techno labels, and his records continue to be played by many of today’s most uncompromising techno artists (Dave Clarke, Luke Slater, Truss, Xhin, AnD, Inigo Kennedy, Sunil Sharpe, Adam X, Ben Sims..).
On before Hartnett is a special Ryan Healy/Kamorah B2B. Ryan is a mainstay with DiVision and his raw minimalistic sound needs no introduction to the Pygmalion vaults, while we welcome back Kamorah for his fourth show in the last couple of months. He has already gotten off to a flying start this year with his latest release ‘Voyage’, taking the Beatport charts by storm. Voyage was released on Sebastian Ledher’s Play Groove Recordings, we can’t wait to hear what these lads will play together.
Declan Coleman will be getting things kicked off on the terrace from 6pm.
